Dr. Chan Wei Yee obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (2006) and Master of Veterinary Medicine (2013) from Universiti Putra of Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia. She pursued and obtained her PhD from The University of Adelaide, Australia in December 2019. Her PhD study is focusing on the area of veterinary microbiology, otology and dermatology. Inspired to pursue the path of education, Dr Chan Wei Yee joined her alma mater as a Lecturer in October 2020 till now.
Aside from teaching and clinical service in small animal dermatology, Dr Chan Wei Yee is conducting ongoing research entitled “The emergence of multidrug resistance: Isolation and identification and characterisation of antimicrobial susceptibility pattern of pathogenic bacteria from ears of dogs and cats”
She enjoys jogging/walking, hiking, watching TV, exploring travel destinations and shopping during her free time.
