MSAVA is proud to announce its collaboration with the Animal Industry Resource Centre, Australia, Elanco, Hills Pet Nutrition & Royal Canin Malaysia in developing the programme dedicated specially for the Paraprofessionals.
This is the second year that MSAVA has embarked on this journey and the theme for 2024 is "Empowering Veterinary Paraprofessionals: Elevating Care Through Knowledge". The Paraprofessionals Stream is a dedicated 2 day programme on 20 & 21 July 2024 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

Objectives:
- Deepen Understanding of Veterinary Medicine: To provide a comprehensive overview of veterinary medical principles, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and diagnostic imaging, relevant to veterinary nursing.
- Enhance Diagnostic Skills: To improve understanding of diagnostic processes, emphasizing the interpretation of laboratory results and imaging studies, to aid in patient assessment and care.
- Strengthen Nursing Theories: To explore advanced theories in veterinary nursing care, including critical care, emergency response, and chronic disease management.
- Cultivate Ethical and Professional Standards: To reinforce the ethical considerations and professional standards expected in veterinary nursing, focusing on patient confidentiality, informed consent, and animal welfare.

Upon completion of this two-day lecture series, participants will be able to:
- Articulate Key Concepts in Veterinary Medicine: Demonstrate a solid understanding of veterinary anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and diagnostic imaging, applying this knowledge to support veterinary diagnostics and treatment planning.
- Analyse and Interpret Diagnostic Information: Skilfully interpret diagnostic information, such as laboratory results and imaging studies, contributing to accurate patient assessments and the formulation of care plans.
