Mik graduated from University of Queensland in 1980 and spent 25 years in small animal veterinary practice. Most of this was spent at a major small animal hospital in Hobart though he has practiced in most states of Australia as well as working in the UK. He has a keen interest in surgery and particularly enjoys the challenges of orthopaedics.
For the past twenty years, Mik has worked at Provet AIRC/CCG as a trainer and program designer. He has designed and delivered most of the teaching programs including the Australian veterinary nurse qualifications, professional development, and educational webinars. Provet AIRC/CCG has students in Australia and throughout Asia (Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan). Mik regularly presents at conferences in Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as teaching at Universities in Japan.
