Intan graduated from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2007. She worked as a small animal intern at the University Veterinary Hospital, UPM, where she developed a strong interest in veterinary neurology. Intan pursued her PhD at the University of Glasgow, which she completed in 2013. She was later appointed as a postdoctoral fellow and clinician in Neurology Service at the University of Glasgow Small Animal Hospital before taking a permanent post as a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, UPM. Intan is currently undertaking her speciality/residency training in neurology and neurosurgery at Royal Veterinary College, London.
