He has worked for Nihon University as an assistant professor since 1999. He was a charter diplomate of the Japanese College of Veterinary Surgeons (JCVS) in 2009. Since 2015, he has been working as a professor of Veterinary Surgery in Nihon University. His duties include education, clinical research, and practice at the university hospital. A total of 4 grad students and 2 residents as well as 62 clinical trainees working for private hospitals belong to his laboratory. He has been focusing consistently on soft tissue surgery in small animals. One of his majors is surgical oncology, especially for liver, adrenal, gastrointestinal, pancreatic, prostatic, and intrathoracic tumors. Additionally, he highly experiences endoscopic surgery and interventional radiology including percutaneous transvenous coil embolization and transarterial chemoembolization. To date, he vigorously has approximately 250 surgical cases per year and a total of 81 published scientific papers.
