Dr.Chaowaphan Yinharnmingmongkol, (DVM, Diplomate, TVBM ) graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Chulalongkorn University in 2002. Dr. Chaowaphan has practised exclusively with Exotic pets since 2002 and he has been a teaching assistant for Mahidol University from 2009 to 2019. He is now a director of Animal Space Exotic Pet Hospital. Dr. Chaowaphan is Thai board-certified in internal medicine and he is a Founder and President of the Thailand Exotic Pet Veterinarian Association

Dr Jalila is a clinical professor in avian medicine at the Department of Veterinary Clinical Studies, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). She joined the faculty as a tutor in 1994 and was given an invaluable opportunity to pursue a double post graduate program, a PhD in Avian Surgery, Anesthesiology and Radiology, running concurrently with a rigorous specialist training program (Residency Program) in Pet and Wild bird Medicine and Surgery at the University of Minnesota, USA. 

Her main research interests are in avian medicine and surgery, particularly in orthopaedic and bone grafting in birds, which is very relevant in injury cases as well infectious diseases.

In terms of administrative responsibilities, currently, she is the Deputy Dean of the Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UPM. She was appointed as the Deputy Dean of Veterinary Teaching Hospital of the Faculty from September 2019 to August 2022 for another challenging but important appointment.

Besides teaching and research, another key area in which she is actively involved in is expert consultancy services. She is currently an avian consultant at University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and her previous appointment as avian consultant to several private and governmental establishments; Underwater World Langkawi for the care, management and health and well-being of their penguins in captivity, the Haldig Garden Parrot Breeding Center and the Wetlands Putrajaya (Perbadanan Putrajaya) for a six-year contractual duration. With the commitment to public service as an avian consultant in these various establishments and through my professional fellowship with private practitioners throughout the country, it has been an immense benefit to being able to incorporate the wide variety of clinical cases during our consultative visits and referral cases attended to, for the training of our Doctor of Veterinary Medicine undergraduates and graduates.

Born in Vienna Austria,  studied in the  University Veterinary Medicine in Vienna 1980-1992.  He obtained his Diplomate European College of Zoological Medicine in 1990.  Married to Mag. Claudia Hochleithner Scientific 

He has over 40+ publications, scientific papers and  7 book contributions.  Dr. Manfred has an extensive experience delivering  international lectures in  USA, S-Afrika, Japan, Israel, Netherlands, Germany, GB, Bulgaria, Argentina, Sweden, Spain, Brasil, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Thailand, Turkey, Croatia, Serbia, Russia, Malaysia, Hongkong, Estonia.

Dr. S. Vellayan retired from Zoo Negara Malaysia as an Assistant Director on 1st June 2008. He is the longest serving Zoo Veterinarian in Malaysia. On retirement, 2nd June 2008 he joined as Associate Professor teaching Medical Parasitology at the Faculty of Medicine UiTM for four years. He was instrumental in establishing the Laboratory Animal Care Unit (LACU) and he was the first Co-Ordinator for LACU. He joined the Faculty of Pharmacy, UiTM in 2013 and retired in 2023. Currently, he is the Adjunct Professor in Jeffrey Sachs Center on Sustainable Development, Sunway University, Malaysia.

He was a two-time Fulbright Professional Scholar (2000 and 2005). He was the President of Malaysian Society of Parasitology and Tropical Medicine, Fulbright Alumni Association of Malaysia, and Acting President of the Veterinary Association Malaysia. He is also the Vice President of Confederation of Scientific and Technological Association Malaysia, Malaysian Scientific Association and Council Member of the Malaysian Senior Scientist Association and the Malaysian Small Animal Veterinary Association. He is an active member of numerous scientific organizations both in Malaysia and abroad. His research areas focus on parasitology, surgery, treatment, enrichment, behaviour and zoonotic disease of wildlife and exotic animals.
